I cursed out loud earlier today when I caught wind of the Not Guilty verdict for now-18-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse. He was acquitted of all charges today in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Am I surprised? No.
Am I angry, disappointed, and frustrated? YES.
I’m not going to rehash the case here since it’s been such a high-profile case with tons of media coverage.
However, I’m thinking of the families of Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, along with Gaige Grosskreutz today.
As I mulled over my own thoughts and feelings today, I sincerely hope that something good will come out of this. According to NPR (article linked below), even though he was acquitted of criminal charges, it’s likely that he faces one or more civil lawsuits in the very near future.
I also think that Judge Bruce Schroeder should be investigated. His courtroom conduct during this trial has been beyond bizarre to say the least. I’m really curious to see what happens with Judge Schroeder now that a verdict has been reached.

That Judge was utterly odd.
Yes, odd is one word for it.
I disagree with you completely. Look into the guys that got killed. They were total dirtbags anyway. They were white guys obviously which makes none of this even remotely racist, despite what the liberal media wants you to believe. Was Rittenhouse stupid? For sure. Why would anyone go out to those protests in the first place? Everyone involved made mistakes. But that doesn’t make the kid guilty of murder. Ask yourself the question, what would you do if you were in his position?
The guys who got killed may have been dirtbags, but no one asked Rittenhouse to come to Kenosha with an AR-15 rifle. He did so on his own accord. And I don’t think it was appropriate for a 17-year-old to wield a military-grade weapon. It was absolutely stupid. I know that everyone makes mistakes, but I honestly don’t think Rosenbaum and Huber would have been killed and Grosskreutz would have been injured if Rittenhouse wasn’t there that night. I can’t ask myself the question about being in Rittenhouse’s position, because I can’t fathom doing something so stupid at the age of 17, and I know that my parents wouldn’t have supported it either.
No doubt Rittenhouse shouldn’t have been there with an AR-15. That was stupid. It was also stupid for those that were killed to approach a guy with an AR-15 and threaten him. That’s the “what would you do” part of the equation. If I were protesting, which I would never do, because protesting is stupid anyway, I would have either befriended the guy with a weapon, or gotten far away from him. I certainly wouldn’t have chased him, hit him with a skateboard, aimed my own weapon at him, or jump-kicked him. All of those guys were asking to get killed.
Here’s a great writer that used to write for the Chicago Tribune before the liberal media cancelled him. Now he’s writing on his own. https://johnkassnews.com/who-will-apologize-to-kyle-rittenhouse-biden-the-media-dont-hold-your-breath/
