Favorite Sci-Fi Show
I’ll admit, science fiction hasn’t been my favorite genre.
However, thanks to my husband, I’ve been warming up to it over the years.
As I was researching this post, I realized there are quite a few sci-fi shows that I have enjoyed, within the last six years or so:
- Firefly (2002-2003)
- Lost (2004-2010)
- Fringe (2008-2013)
- The multiple Star Trek series (We’re working through Voyager (1995-2001) now, which I like a lot, but TNG [1987-1994] is my personal favorite.)
- The Outer Limits (1995-2002) [Broadcast on the aptly-named Comet channel through our antenna.]
- Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction (1997-2002)
- Futurama (1999-2013)
- Jessica Jones (2015-present)
- The Flash (2014-present)
- Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003)
- The X-Files (1993-2016)
- Doctor Who (1963-present)
- The Twilight Zone (1959-1964)

However, there is one that stands out.

Quantum Leap!
My husband introduced me to this show via Netflix. He was old enough to remember watching several episodes while it was on the air (1989-1993), as well as when it was picked up for syndication.
For me, I’d never heard of it. I recognized Scott Bakula from other shows, but that was it.
I quickly fell in love. I like the concept of time travel, and mash that with history and historical fiction, and you’ve got me hooked.
We stopped watching it on a regular basis because some of the episodes are very sad and depressing. There was one particular episode that made both of us cry!
However, I want to pick it up again and finish the series, one episode at a time. Sad, or not, it’s a really good show!
Have you seen Quantum Leap?
What are your thoughts?
Until the next headline, Laura Beth 🙂
I loved Quantum Leap! I used to watch it with my mom! Good show!
Awesome! I’ve really enjoyed what I’ve seen so far. I think we stopped somewhere in season 3.
I don’t remember if I watched the last season, but my husband likes this show too. I might just have to get it and we can watch it this fall/winter!
I believe the entire series is on Netflix!
Oh sweet! I just finished watching Stranger Things! I’ll have to look for this and add it to my list!! It’s been a while since I’ve seen any of the episodes, so I’m sure I’ve forgotten quite a few!
Nice! My husband LOVED Stranger Things. I couldn’t watch most of it – Some things were creeping me out! I loved the premise though, since we’re both children of the 80s!
Yes, I loved the 80’s vibe!
Absolutely. I especially loved the opener of the show. It was so cool!
YES!!
AHHHHHHHHH, I LOVE Quantum Leap! My dad owns the whole series! I especially love Al and he is by far my favorite side kick of all time! He’s hilarious and an amazing friend to Sam! I absolutely love this show! The only thing I would have changed was the end. If you ever watch it, you may know why.
Awesome! We stopped somewhere in season 3. There were several super sad episodes! I definitely want to watch the rest of the series, though, with or without my husband!
That’s cool! I believe that’s on Netflix too…or it was at one point. Did seasons 1,2,or 3 have the episode with Al and Beth? I can’t remember.
It is! I believe the whole series is available. I think the episode with Al and Beth was toward the end of season 2.
That was a good one. I felt so bad for Al and Sam was kind of a jerk in that one.
Same!

Hey guys! I wanted to reblog this post by Laura Beth because although not quite my favorite Sci-Fi show, I absolutely LOVE this show!
Eeek! This is my first-ever post to reblogged. Thank you so much!!
I watched some episodes when it first aired too!
This post makes me wanna go to Netflix & add it to my queue… in fact, I think I shall!! 😀
You won’t be disappointed!
