Getting Personal #276: March Goals

Welcome back!

Publishing a new Goals at the end of the month in question? Sure, why not!

Here are my goals for the month of March:

  1. Start reading again before bed.
  2. Clean off my desk and keep it clean.
  3. Continue drinking water as much as possible. Limit soda to once a week, much like alcohol.
  4. Put away the clean clothes and linens.
  5. Commit to spending some time every Saturday and Sunday to making certain areas of the house more functional, keeping things in their proper places, reducing clutter, etc.

What about you? What goals do you have for this month?

Until the next headline, Laura Beth 🙂

  1. I think the water goal is commendable! I’m trying to limit my soda too, but I do like those green tea caffeine drinks (like V8 Energy, or Aha). How are you doing with caffeine?

    • I’ve heard about Aha, interesting! I didn’t realize it was green tea. I limit my caffeine to one cup of coffee per day with breakfast. If I have more than that, I get jittery and then I crash.

      • I know what you mean. I found I was getting something similar with diet soda, so I tried to aim for green tea.

One caffeinated drink per day is exemplary! I’m pretty sure the rest of us mainline the stuff like junkies. 😂

      • It’s so interesting when we actually listen to our bodies! I definitely don’t drink energy drinks or anything like that. It’s too much. I try my best!

      • I’m 100% with you. I may have more caffeine than one glass a day, but I shut it down around 6pm (unless I’m having a wild night… like a dinner at a friend’s house lol). Otherwise, it messes with my sleep.

It’s really important to focus on those small goals and habit making. I’m always impressed by your monthly posts!

      • Exactly! If I have a soda during dinner, I make sure I drink water after that. Small goals are more manageable sometimes. Thank you!

      • Small goals, in my opinion, are the best approach to habit changing. Thank you for keeping us all updated on your goals!

      • I agree! I approach a lot of things that way. A strategy I learned through work is “block, chunk, and tackle.” It’s good stuff. Thanks for reading and commenting!
