1) What are you currently reading?
I’m currently reading Brainiac: Adventures in the Curious, Competitive, Compulsive World of Trivia Buffs by Ken Jennings, Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert, and Daily Guideposts 2020.
2) What’s your favourite ‘can’t-leave-the-house’ activity?
Writing, either on my laptop or in a journal. I’m working on the second draft of my first novel. I also have four other novels in progress.
3) A book you’ve been meaning to read for forever
You Will Know Me by Megan Abbott.
4) An intimidating book on your TBR
The Less People Know About Us: A Mystery of Betrayal, Family Secrets, and Stolen Identity by Axton Betz-Hamilton. I know the backstory behind this book, Betz-Hamilton’s memoir, from the Criminal podcast. (Make sure you listen to Episode 51 first, then Episode 125). I want it to be as amazing as I think it is, based on the podcast episodes that were so masterfully produced.

The Less People Know About Us: A Mystery of Betrayal, Family Secrets, and Stolen Identity, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Re-Read), and Educated.

7) Recommend a long book
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (759 pages).
8) Something you’d love to do while stuck at home
Start pastel painting again.
9) What do you plan on reading next?
The Less People Know About Us: A Mystery of Betrayal, Family Secrets, and Stolen Identity
I’m not going to tag anyone, but if you want to do this, please do! I love reading people’s answers.
Until the next headline, Laura Beth 🙂
Ooo this is a good tag, I can see why you wanted to do it!
I’m sorry, but you’re doing the second draft for your first novel and you also have four others in progress?? I’ve wanted to write a book for years (you know, ‘wannabe writer syndrome’) and haven’t yet started a page. I take my hat off to you, that’s amazing – you should be massively proud for starting, let alone doing so much concurrently, wow.
I’ve not heard of that The Less People Know About Us book (or the podcast, for that matter), but I’m very curious. Will check that out, thanks. I’m not sure, given the content judging by the title, that it’s one I can say ‘I hope you enjoy it!’ but you know what I mean 😆 Sounds like a provocative read at least.
Happy Reading, Beth!
Caz xx
Thank you!
Thank you for your incredibly kind words about my writing. I really appreciate it! I’ve been writing since I was in elementary school. With that said, I’ve put in a lot of work since 2012. NaNoWriMo and the Camp sessions have been amazing for me. It’s given me focus and drive. I didn’t do NaNoWriMo during 2015, 2016, and 2017, and I know now that I missed it. But, I was also able to fully enjoy my wedding and honeymoon in 2015. I’ve worked hard to balance my writing with my husband, now our two dogs, and eventually when we have kid(s).
The Criminal podcast is one of my all-time favorites. I hope you listen to Money Tree – It’s one of the most fascinating and horrifying experiences that anyone could endure. I’m looking forward to reading the book, and then sharing my thoughts here on the blog.
Thanks, Caz! Stay well.
