It’s high time for me to announce my NaNoWriMo 2019 results!
This was a brand-new novel. I came up with the idea while listening to the StoryCorps podcast from NPR this summer.
The tentative title is “The Transformation House.”

Final Thoughts
I was so happy with what I accomplished in roughly 30 days. This was, by far, my best NaNoWriMo ever.
I went back and looked. My first NaNo was in 2012, and I wrote a little over 10,000 words that November. I’m pleased as punch that I surpassed 25,000 words!
For now, I’ve set this one aside. I’ve started to review the first draft of “Camp,” the novel I started in 2012.
I’m hoping to pick this one back up in either April or July during one of the Camp NaNo sessions!
Have you done NaNoWriMo in November before?
Have you done Camp NaNoWriMo before?
Let me know what you think!
Until the next headline, Laura Beth 🙂
That is a huge achievement.
Thank you so much!
Congratulations! I haven’t ever tried it.
Thank you! It’s really fun to do. There’s a great community on Facebook, too.
My main concern is stress. My job is very demanding; for that matter, my life itself is very demanding. I would tend to think of NaNoWriMo as just another thing that has to be added to my never-ending to-do list. When I started this blog, I told myself I wasn’t going to make myself keep to a schedule, I would just write when I felt like it.
What do you do for work? I’m happy I’ve made time for it. Everyone’s different. I’ve enjoyed your blog.
If I tell you what I do for work, it’ll be spoilers for when I get to 1997, because that’s when I went through a crisis of feeling like I needed to figure out what to do with my degree. Do you want to know, or would you rather just keep reading until then, even though it’ll probably be a couple years until I write about that time?
I’ll just keep reading. I appreciate your honesty!
Thank you 🙂
You’re welcome!
Nice one, I didn’t know you had taken part as well… 😀
Thank you!
